Terms and Conditions

Prior to commencing research, we will ensure:-

that the research you wish us to carry out is feasible and that the likelihood of success has been communicated to you
that your requirements have been fully understood
that costs have been agreed

Birth, marriage, death and parish register searches will be conducted using original sources. Transcripts will not be relied upon as fact.

We guarantee to commence research immediately upon receipt of full payment or required deposit depending on the service chosen.

We realise you will be eager to know the results of our research as soon as possible so we will provide you with regular written progress and activity reports by telephone, e-mail or letter as required.

Although we will endeavour to exhaust all possibilities in the search for your ancestor(s), it must be recognised that in some cases the historical sources are inadequate or may have been lost or destroyed, however all research must be paid for whether the result is positive or negative.

Payment can be made (dependent on service requested) by Cheque, Standing Order, PayPal or Credit / Debit Card via PayPal. A PayPal account is not required for this last option.

Sorry, but payment for all of our services can only be accepted in Sterling only.

The results of our research will remain the property of 'UK Genealogists' until full payment is received.
